Meet your next therapist.
Caitlyn “Cat” Hoggard Wagley,
M. Ed., LMHC
Where I work: 911 E 86th St Indianapolis, IN Suite 201-A
Who I work with: Individuals, people in relationships, LGBTQ+ affirming, adults & teens
What I work with: relationships & sexuality, perinatal mental health (pregnancy & postpartum), women’s issues, family planning, anxiety & OCD, infertility, grief, abortion processing, career & education decisions, other life transitions.
Are several of these sounding relevant to you? My sweet spot is their intersection.
I believe two of the biggest variables affecting the outcome of therapy are:
The relationship you have with your therapist
How you choose to engage in the process
I believe my clients are capable of learning how to navigate the world to meet their needs as well as set their own goals for growth and self empowerment. I provide a safe space for exploration of those needs and identification of existing barriers. In this partnership I will assist you in discovering and utilizing the coping skills and communication tools necessary to achieve your goals and contentment. In alignment with what I’ve said above, I often encourage you to do work outside of therapy to help achieve peace within your life.
Before transitioning into mental health counseling, I worked in education for five years as a school counselor and language arts teacher. What I’ve always known to be true is that I am passionate about helping people live a life of comfort, connection, and peace. I use my strengths as an educator to teach you about the psychology of your concerns as well as how to address them. It’s important to me to help my clients realize how to have healthy relationships with themselves, as well as with others. I have two B.S. from Ball State (interpersonal communication & english education) and one M.S. from Butler (School & Mental Health Counseling). I attended advanced training in perinatal mental health care through Postpartum Support International in 2025. I am also presently receiving specialized training in sex therapy from the University of Michigan (12 month program). I attend sex therapy supervision monthly to ensure I am doing my best as your clinician. I think it is important to always be learning and growing, so I apply that to myself.
Some other things you might like to know about me: I really enjoy writing and am working on several books in my free time, including nonfiction topics related to my therapy practice. I am also an adjunct professor at Butler University in their Masters in Mental Health Counseling program. I have a Pomeranian and a cat (Minnie & Maple), I love to travel (UK & Japan being my favorite spots so far), I am a cinephile (I am happy to recommend shows and movies to help you reflect on mental health and relationships), I buy more books than I can read (but I do try), and I go to pilates on the weekends (although like many people I never enjoy it until it’s over).
